Vi følger Lasse og Geir, to opprørske ungdommer, gjennom noen dager i deres liv. De er sinte på samfunnet, politikerne og makteliten, og lever etter egne anarkistiske regler. Konfliktene står i kø, både med foreldre, autoriteter og lovens lange arm. Likevel viser de også medmenneskelighet, særlig overfor samfunnets utsatte, og Geir har et varmt og kjærlig forhold til sin lillebror. Filmen er blitt en norsk klassiker som skildrer norsk ungdoms opplevelse av 17-tallet.

We follow Lasse and Geir, two rebellious youths, over the course of a few days in their lives. They are angry at society, politicians, and the elite, living by their own anarchistic rules. Conflicts arise everywhere – with parents, authorities, and the long arm of the law. Yet, they also show compassion, especially toward society's marginalized, and Geir shares a warm and loving bond with his younger brother. The film has become a Norwegian classic, capturing the experience of Norwegian youth in the 1970s.
